A Table Needs a Home like a.....uh?

Soldier and I have one too many dining room tables! It has been this way for two years and in my need to pair down the amount of stuff surrounding us I have decided to offer our old table up to whomever may want it. If no one grabs it here then it will go to Goodwill ( Read more... )

Sure! I'll get more details posted this evening after I've picked up the kiddo.

I would even reccomend coming over to see it in person because I am not sure a photo will acurately display its condition. I am not an expert so I do not know if it is a reproduction, but the friend who gifted it to us said it belonged to her grandparents who would be in their 100's if they were still alive, so it could be 1920's or something.

Oh, I saw your edit after I posted.

Just a suggestion: if you want to get it appraised, DON'T refinish it!!! It will lose most of its value if the original finish has been removed or tampered with.

actually you can refinish it - but you should take it to a conservator instead of doing it yourself. And you should probably get it appraised first before doing that though. At least, that's what the guy said on Antiques Roadshow :)
