SYNOPSIS:
After sorting out the crack in her wall, the Doctor fails to return to Amelia Pond after five minutes; as a result, she grows up just a little bit broken (TO THE MOON AND BACK). As a teenager, Amy aims to be just like the Doctor-- astonishing, impressive and emotionally remote (QUICK). Though Rory loves her, he finds himself growing increasingly frustrated with her careless nature (AWAY WITH THE PIXIES). Then, shockingly, the Doctor returns... only to leave once again. Amy is heartbroken, and Rory does his best to pick up the pieces (NEAR TO YOU; THE LONELIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD).
When the Doctor comes back once more, Amy gives into temptation and leaves with him-- abandoning Rory in favor of the life she always thought she wanted. Terrified of how vulnerable she's become, she tries to force herself on the Doctor (DROWNED WORLD/SUBSTITUTE FOR LOVE). Thoroughly wigged, the Doctor fetches Rory-- who's more than a little peeved that Amy would skirt so close to infidelity (HEART ATTACK). Growing more frustrated all the time, Amy struggles to express to Rory how much she cares about him (HERE'S TO BELIEVE). Their confrontation with the Dream Lord is a wake-up call; astonished and pleased by the change in her behavior, Rory compares the way Amy used to act to the way she's acting now (LOVE IS ONLY SLEEPING).
Their trip to a drilling facility in Wales changes everything.
Amy struggles to remember Rory, already having lost him once-- but the Crack takes him, and he's lost. As she continues to travel with the Doctor, though, Amy can't help but feel as though there's something missing... something she's forgotten. An encounter with a strangely familiar Roman Centurion brings it all back. (THE SOUND OF WHITE). Unable to resist his programming, Rory shoots Amy-- and then waits 2,000 years to make it up to her. As he guards the Pandorica, he remembers their relationship (FOR ME THIS IS HEAVEN).
Impossibly, the universe is restored to the way it should be. Healthier than she's ever been, Amy thinks fondly of Rory as they dance at their wedding (HALO).
