i read an article on this in Vice a long while ago. i think it's kind of a combination of all those things. i don't know that all of them have violent, dominating tendecies, but it can't be completely absent from their upbringing. it's very nature vs nurture.

I can't wait for Lars and the Real Girl to come out. It seems to be about one of the men who have trouble being confident with women enough to develop a relationship with them.
