restaurant question?

Chicagoans:

A nice, not over-the-top expensive (like $25 an entree at the MOST), romantic but not ridiculous restaurant? Cuisine? Doesn't really matter, but I'm leaning less towards Asian.

Go!

Norman and I got engaged at Bonsoiree. We went because they have a cheap prix fixe, the prices are very reasonable and it's not too far from you...

Ooh, good idea! I just saw that place on a show on channel 7, it seems pretty great.

it was great. But a hint: if they offer to cook you a 7 course meal, stick with the 5. Because the portions were huge. I was thinking 7 courses means each one would be tiny... but no. Each one was like, smallish entree sized.

Bistro Campagne - French, entrees range $17-$20. Excellent wines and trappist beers, great service. Ask for Mark, he's a friend of mine. It's at Sunnyside and Lincoln. If you want Asian, try Friendship Chinese. It's in Logan Square, not sure where. Nice decor, modern Asian food and BYOB. Don't know about the price though.

I've read about that place before, I LOVE the science aspect of it. That one is definitely on the list, although it would take a bit of coaxing to get D to enjoy that kind of stuff. :P

God, I've never done a prix fixe multi-course dinner. This needs to change (while I can afford it, sort of)!
