I liked it! I wonder what's going to happen with Niki now that she's turned herself in.

Ha! I love you for commenting. Everyone seems to hate these characters. ;) Yeah, I look forward to the development of her character--the Six Months Before episode really explained a lot about her character, and from that, it looks like she could really learn to control the super strength if she figured this crap out w/ Jessica. I can't wait to see it.

A lot of people don't like Niki, but she's grown on me and I like her & DL & Micah - the SuperHeroFamily :)

Hooray, Heroes fic! I have to say, interesting choice, picking the two least-heroic and thus in many ways the least-appealing of the "hero" cast members to base the story on. "Six Months Ago" did answer some questions about both characters, but I still find myself wondering how exactly Nathan turned from the man he used to be into the man he is today.

LOL! Interesting, huh? :) Yeah, I have this habit of liking the weird pairings/characters that NO ONE else in the universe likes. If you knew my other fandoms, you would know this about me. ;)

I like the characters that have room to grow. I like the ones you can see a lot of depth to--history and flaws... I dunno. Just weird that way, I guess. ;)

Honestly, the Patrelli family being what it is, I'm more surprised about Peter being the way he is, rather than about Nathan being a self-serving politically minded jerk. :)

Good point about Peter :) I do agree that flawed characters are probably more interesting to write about. Hiro certainly has an undeniable appeal for his unabashed, innocent desire to be a hero from the very beginning, but interesting fiction about him I think would be more likely of the "Hiro's Adventures In Time!" variety rather than the character growth thing. Though he has struggled recently with the nature of his powers and what he can and can't do, despite wanting to save everyone...

Man, I'm glad this show is back on the air tonight :)

I have to say, after seeing Hiro fall in love with Charlene (a.k.a. Charlie), it definitely showed a different side to the lil Waffle King. It was also an interesting twist with her having a terminal disease. It kind of made his motives moot, making it all the more human. I think Nicki is going to become Jessica and break out of jail. I like how they are doing the whole "Gollum" good guy/bad guy thing with her. I also like the fact that there are so many different real world analogies. At first I thought the show was overly dramatic. Now I think it's abit deeper then that ( ... )

That was lovely! And I really like the reference to Nathan's early idealism.

Hey, somehow I missed your comment earlier. Thank you!! I want to like him, you know? But he just keeps getting more and more annoying. ;) But still...we can dig deep and look at what brought him here, right? :)

You're the best, you know that? I'm still pretty new at this and trying to find my 'voice' for it, you know? I do have another Claire/Zach posted in the icon meme. I was going to put it up as a story, but I'm not quite sure that it feel 'finished' yet, you know? New fandoms are hard. :)

Thanks so much for the support. I've felt a bit off my game, lately. :)

Hope you're feeling mucha better!

I am doing much better, thanks.

I relate! It's very hard to find the right voices for new fandoms, and especially when it's an ensemble show where you don't hear one voice for large amounts of time. (Which actually has something to do with why I've never written much VM. It's been hard for me to master.) You do it gracefully, though.

BTW, I'm presently working on your ficlet for the icon meme. It took me awhile to come up with a concept, but you'll have it tonight!
