Nice. I like this take on the rape scene and how it's Billy taking care of it and being okay instead of what normally shows up. Very nice.

Thanks! I haven't really delved into the fic all that much yet...I imagine there's a LOT on the aftermath of this...

I'm so glad you felt it was different than the usual, and that you liked it! Thanks!!!

You're really getting me into Tyra/Billy...

This was wonderful. The characters are spot-on.

She laughs a little, but he hears it catch in her throat. She looks up.

Love that Billy sees through her brave face. I like how he doesn't give up on finding out what happened, and shows he really cares.

Except that she does, she realizes suddenly. Three people know what happened. And only one of them solves his problems by beating the crap out of them.

Oh, Billy, Billy, Billy...love her realization of who would have done it.

Her steps are slow and measured as she leaves and she makes it to the truck before she breaks down. She sobs so hard her ribs ache and her head feels hollow, but it's the kind of ache that she knows will leave her stronger when it's over.

That last line is so true...beautifully written.

And I love how she thanks him in her own way. Very Tyra and Billy.

Anyway, if you didn't get it from my ramblings above, I love this and your little series of Billy/Tyra! :)

Yay! I'm so glad you're getting into them, I really think they're a good fit. Of course, my brain's a little funky, so...

I'm glad you felt it was 'them.' I get the feeling that neither one of them is a big talker. :) But they get the idea across. I'm so thrilled that you enjoyed it and found so many places worth quoting! :)

Thank you!!!

What I like best about this series is that the relationship between Tyra and Billy is one that's grounded in friendship. A very unique friendship, but friendship none the less.

Thanks!! I think the thing that attracts me to possible 'couples' in the first place is some sort of trust between them. I feel like Tyra and Billy have that--there's this sort of basic idea that if one of them really NEEDS something, the other will be there. So from this there grows a friendship. And of course it's never TALKED about, because these are characters that get really chatty about their feelings. But I definitely get the idea that, in the right circumstances, it could be sorta like this for them.

And that was a hellishly long comment that boils down to YES! I absolutely think it's about friendship, and I adore you for seeing that! :)

Thank you for writing this series of stories, as I love the idea of Tyra getting any kind of love in the fandom (Billy, Tim, Jason, Bradley...anyone 'cept Landry or Buddy Garrity). She's such a great character to explore!

She is really a lot of fun! I love how strong she is, and how she has her own ideas of how things should be and she puts a lot of effort into making it that way. She's loyal and spunky and I love those things about her! :) Thanks so much for commenting!! :)

Oh, very nice touch there - how Billy deals with it in the background, and everything is unsaid, and yet...

And I love how she offers him a job as a thank you. No fripperies or small talk in Dillon, Texas - just cut straight to the serious stuff. You beat up my would-be rapists, I get you a job.

;)

LOL, YES YES YES!! This is them to a tee--practicality. And of course, the less said the better. :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, I was afraid of how dealing with the would-be rape would go, and I'm glad this was well received. :)
