I think if it was any other show this'd freak me out more but for Dexter, weird as it is it works. Well written. Deb in particular sounds like herself and the Dexter POV makes this story right, connects the dots as to why it makes sense, how it fits with what has gone on.

Hee. Well, one thing about the show--if you can watch it, you probably don't freak out all that easily! ;) I'm so glad you felt it works, both within the stories and with canon. It was difficult to plan out in that way -- having the situation make sense from both their points of view, because it wouldn't really be 'acceptable' from Deb's traditional view of the world, and it probably wouldn't really be desired from Dexter's, since he's not very big on sex in the first place.

Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and it's always so great to hear that people think the character voice is on. ;) I was trying to find a way for this to work, and any way I sliced it, it really had to be about Brian. I mean, in some ways it was about Deb, because he did want to help her, but I think his strongest feelings were for his brother. I love this show so, ridiculously much. Dex makes me thoughtful. :)

So, in a totally weird coincidence, I've been gorging on Weevil/Veronica fic--yours are awes, btw--and I realized that you wrote this, too. I've been meaning to comment on it at Yuletide and thank you for it. I didn't realize that my requests had been kicked to NYR status, so getting another response to one of my requests was a surprise. And a really great surprise, considering that I didn't think anyone would take this one on. You did such a incredible job with it. Really made it make sense.
