I like how Audrey is speaking for the town here, even though this episode was firm on the notion that she's only just beginning to belong. It's very true to the dynamic they have - when it comes to personal issues, especially Nathan's, Audery is always awkward and a little too glib or trite ( ... )

Hey, I've been awol for a while, wanted to let you know I really appreciate the feedback! As it turns out, I've been Jossed on all of it by now. :) Though I'm still confused on the timeline of his 'affliction'.

I wrote the ending thinking it was not so much pat as...a sort of painful letting go for Audrey, who likes Nathan for who he is and sees all too clearly why someone else might be important to him, even if she'd rather it was her.
