My eyes and sinuses are being stupid, so looking at a computer for more than 1/2 an hr gives me a splitting headache. Hence my day off today

Yeah, the rest was just filler, this was my 'SQUEE! It's almost Yuletide time!' post. :) Did you do it last year? I just got an A03 account, and now I'm just waiting, ever so impatiently, for signups.
Well, I'm also crazy excited for my couch...but mainly Yuletide. Come in and squee with me - the water's fine!
I'm also looking sideways at NaNoWriMo. I'm terrible at writing long things...I'm best at about 1000 words. But...I could stretch a bit, right? I know I wouldn't get to 50,000, but even 10 would be huge for me.
Course, I don't have a plot or anything, so there's that...
What do you think? To novel or not to novel. And if to novel...what the hell do people write about?
Yes, I've done Yuletide for the past three years- you were the one who originally told me about it, did you know that? I'm so excited too- I've already got my four requests lined up and I have a pretty good mix of what I can offer too :)
Couches are also a big deal. It is most definitely the centerpiece of my apartment.
I'm doing NaNo! This will be my third attempt. I tried in '07 and '09- hopefully three times will be a charm for me. I'm trying to do sort of a Love, Actually set up (albeit a really depressing 70's version set in East Boston), but generally a large cast of characters with several smaller stories going on at once...and each plot is getting more and more detailed. I'm terrifying myself.
