October break was a real treat. I got to hang out one whole evening with an old friend from four years ago, who's grown a lot, which was wery wery refweshing, and I got to hang out with my brother for a whole weekend, which was rejuvenating. Yes, learning English as second language is a tough road.
I think it’s the same with learning any other language, though.
You’ve probably felt like you can never fully express yourself with other languages, right. It’s always painful when you are in a certain country and can’t fully speak their language. But the feeling of exhilaration after you COULD communicate with people using their language, is always priceless, right?
That I can never forget.

On the other hand, being a professor in American school when English is not your native language must be so difficult....

Professor Zxu actually had studied English for 11 years before he came to the US, and when he got here, he couldn't understand native speakers or express himself to a native speaker; that took another two years.

Yeah, almost any second languages is very difficult to command effectively, and even harder to master, but I think English is one of the harder ones. I have alot of admiration for true polyglots. Like Yuko!
