Last question first. Wake Forest Sports. No question. You may attend more Wake Forest sporting events than I attend church. In fact I'd probably wager you do; at most I'm only in church 52 times a year.
What would your life be without Wake Sports? Last year at the Loop one of your colleagues asked you why Stan was in such a good mood, to which you responded that he was just happy about the football season getting started (or something to that effect). Maybe once the football & basketball seasons get started up your grumpiness will fade.
That seems really silly about the video board rules. Seems like the schools that were complaining about their use were doing some serious whining.
I agree about the schools whining. That's why I am really interested to hear about schools that went way over the top with their videoboard stuff. I mean, I can't even imagine what could be done with a videoboard that would be so influential in a kid's decision-making. For us, it was almost always just something to have on in the background while a kid and his family were touring the Field House which is where a lot of the sports trophies are. By most accounts, the kids got a big kick out of it, but I still can't see how someone would say, "Man, seeing my name in gigantic Arial font is really what sealed the deal
