Anyone have a USB to RS232 adapter?

Don't suppose anyone has a USB to RS232 (= serial port) adapter I could borrow very briefly?

Trying to determine where the problem lies in connecting my rowing machine to a laptop so as to be able to do online racing. The cable from the rowing machine plugs into a serial port, but the laptop is too new to have one, so got a cheap USB-serial
