So, just like junior high school girl, I recently told this guy that I liked him. He was silent for about a day and then said, I like you, but not like that. Fair. And I honestly expected that, but hoped against hope that I was wrong. He's a great guy, just not mine ( Read more... )

It didn't work, but I had to take a shot.

You know the story..."it is better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all...."

Better to have given it a try and failed than to think back 20 years from now and regret never asking. (And bad news, even at 46 and married for 20 years I still occasionally find the junior high girl coming to the fore.) Life gets better...keep pursuing it.

*jaw drops* GRADUATING?

You know, even knowing that Yury and Billy have hit 21, it still hasn't occurred to me that all those young Seniors I met when Kat was a freshman could possibly be GRADUATING!!!! (I'm still half in denial that Kat is in college *grin*)
