That is rough. But he's going to need someone to talk to about all this. You should feel good that he's close enough to you and knows that you're strong enough to handle this information. Imagine what it was like being there. I hate to sound cold, but the fear and anxiety you feel has got to pale in comparison to what he just lived through. But he lived through it. And he's come out more experienced and will handle himself even better should (god forbid) something like this were to ever happen again. Having said that, though, it's hard to know you don't have any control over this...If you need a shoulder, call me.
