I Need A Dog Sitter, Stat!

Well, Hoover's long term foster care situation is melting down. No fault of the folks who have been keeping him, their landlord appears to be having a brain fart. These folks have been given 20 days notice. I don't know if it's illegal or what, but it's certainly wildly unkind. But, as everything is all about *me*, what it boils down to for me ( Read more... )

I'm not much help here, but, yuch. I'm sorry...

A crazy dog you don't know, right in middle of chemo? That would be perfectly insane.

When I do come get him, I'd like to stop by for 5 minutes and give you a smooch, if it suits your well being that day.

I bounced it off Laura, and we'd be willing to give it a *try*, but we can't speak in advance for Callie -- who might regard Hoover as a puppy-pal, or as a snack, no way to tell in advance.

If your number's still the same, I can give you a call later to discuss it.

best,

Joel

Hi Joel,

yes, the number is the same. What is a Callie and does it eat 70 lb. Labs?

Not too late, it's turning out to have been a looooong day and tomorrow would be fine.

thanks,
Kate

Confirming phone chat, Calie's a 75-lb. Rottweiler mutt, who's okay with other dogs unless *they* try to push *her* around, in which case they get hurt. Doesn't sound like a good match with Hoover.

hugs,

Joel

I wish we were closer. I have a big yard and a patient Sophie.

Sadly, NC is no use to you.

Thank you. I swear, I might just have to have that birthday party, just to get to meet you. My sister lives NC, somewhere near Lee Lake. She's having a big family gathering this Fourth of July. You tend to add weight to the "maybe I might go" thought process.

You get as close as Lee Lake and you will see me. :-) That's a piece of cake. Chuck has an apartment in downtown W-S. I can even help you get away from your family a little bit, if you need to.
