Okay you ITG people...listen to the clip and name this song.

No Princess, right?

NOPE.

Here is the entire song from which that bit was clipped. I'm not sure if this has been brought up on forums or anything before...I searched but found no mention of it.

Despite having almost the EXACT instrumentation as No Princess, it's a song by Toy Box (a band often mistaken for Aqua) from their 2001 album Toy Ride. HMM. I think it's pretty funny. I thought No Princess was made for ITG, obviously a few years after this was done, but in my opinion the music goes much better with No Princess than 007, and NP is a much better song. I'm assuming this is another example of whatsherfacePapaya writing stuff for other people, since that apparently happens a lot, but maybe it was the other way around.

But how much actual stealing goes on? So much of this type of music sounds alike and follows the same silly formulas and themes...is it at all possible that this next instance on the same album was coincidental?

Check out the chorus of their song WWW.Girl.

The lyrics:

I'm a world wide web girl in a world wide web world
There is something I must confess
I need a world wide web boy with a world wide web toy
This is my email address

Now, take a listen of this song by a band named Gudrun that I had a few years before the Toy-Box one came out. This band, if the file is named correctly, has apparently dropped off the face of the planet...can't even find lyrics online anywhere.

Lyrics:

I'm a world wide web girl in a world wide web world
Save me from my teenage distress
Is there a world wide web boy with a world wide web joy
This is my email address

Hah. Oh, Toy Box.
