Impression now: Awww, I adore Shaw! She’s badass, very resilient, sexy and dangerous. In a lot of ways, she’s the perfect soldier, because she’ll follow a cause without asking many questions, and she doesn’t want a lot in return. As she says, she doesn’t quite “feel” the way most people do, but perhaps that makes it even more precious when she cares - and we know she loves Root, we see her care for everyone on Team Machine, we enjoy the rare moments when she connects with someone.
Favorite moment: So many. Perhaps when she saves Fusco’s son instead of Fusco and apologizes, because she knows saving his kid is what Fusco would want. And from a storytelling POV, I loved she didn’t join the team straight away - she ( ... )

Impression now: Still absolutely love Root. I was skeptical when they were transitioning her from a villain to a hero, but then they actually pulled it off. Same as Shaw, she’s badass, dangerous, very sexy and very capable. Root is a genius who seems to be desperately in search of some higher meaning, and she has lost her faith in people… until the Machine, Harold and others restore her faith in humanity. I love how she never gives up, how ingenious she is and how deeply she comes to care for everyone on the team.
Favorite moment: So many of them!!! From the top of my head, Root blackmailing the Machine to rescue Shaw (by threatening to fall off the roof); Root telling Harold how him and his morals have made the Machine kind and sympathetic to people (or something along those lines); any Root/Shaw moment. Impression now: Absolutely love her! She’s independent, smart, sexy, with a tough exterior but she has a good heart. She doesn’t let anyone push her around and she’s not afraid to wander into the “grey areas” while still mostly keeping her feet on the ground.
Favorite moment: I don’t know if I have one. It’s more like a string of all the little things I love about her… Hmmm. Maybe when she lies to Kramer about the Raphael to give Neal time to get the painting back. She really puts herself on the line for him and she has to believe he won’t let her down. It’s not some big declaration or a huge gesture, but maybe that makes it mean even more.
On the completely shallow side, any moment with Sara and her baton :D
Idea for a story: LOL, just one? I guess something with Sara and the other WC women… Wait, got it ( ... )

Impression now: Still like her :) She’s strong, resilient, caring, empathic and very kind, somewhat motherly and overall a good person. Of course, she can also be quite stubborn and headstrong :D But she genuinely enjoys helping people and caring for them, both for her friends and for random strangers. In our world, she would be a humanitarian, probably building schools in the third world or arguing better conditions for kids from poor families. At the same time, it was awesome to watch her grow into a powerful bender - really, her whole development arch was amazing, from the little girl to a fierce, determined woman with a heart of gold.
Favorite moment: One of my favorites Katara moments is when she learns blood-bending to stop Hama. She masters the skill, proves her power and saves her friends and other innocent people, but she’s still heartbroken and cries because she learned a dark, corrupt skill of controlling people, and she lost a part of her innocence with that. It’s very human, ( ... )

The bloodbending is SO TERRIFYING THOUGH. Gives me chills every time I think of it.

Impression now: What an awesome woman!!! LOVE HER <3 <3 <3 No, seriously. I don’t ever remember not loving June. Maybe I came to like her even more over the time, but she was always my favorite. Classy, smart, kind, empathic… she likes to see the good in people, but she doesn’t judge them when they let her down, doesn’t hold it against them. She looks out for her people. She’s the perfect friend and she still knows how to live and have fun. Do I need to go on?
Favorite moment: EVERYTHING!!! Okay, uh… maybe when Ford lets her down, and she’s clearly heartbroken to have lost a friend, and then Neal dances with her in her living room. Also, June singing - she was simply marvelous.
Idea for a story: So many feelings, so many half-formed thoughts… Maybe, some half-assed kid tries to con her, except he/she is way over their head, and June just enjoys toying with him/her until she finally releases them with her kind, good-natured humor. Because she’s the queen of awesome.

Impression now: Aww, we have a complicated relationship. I like Finch. A lot. But sometimes, I found him downright infuriating. Like, Season 5 and not telling Fusco all that time? WTF was that?! How the hell does that make him safer? There are quite a few of Harold’s decisions that I find questionable ( ... )
