Cometh on down to ye olde faire!

Nov 14, 2009 23:59

Mum and I went to the renaissance faire today. It was pretty fun, but definitely not something I'd go to every year. (But ours is WAY small compared to some of the ones up north and such).

I did not eat a giant turkey leg.

But I did take some pictures, which I'll share. I'm not feeling 100%, so it's not my usual obsessive chronicling.

Pretties. )

c'est la vie

I really miss Ren fairs.
If the travel for my summer goes away and I live with my parents before grad school... well, the Maryland Ren Fair is around then!

You need bigger pictures of men in kilts!

Ooh, really? Awesome!

See, I have bigger pictures. Much. But, if I upload them in their original size, they're HUGE. And take forever to upload. And I don't know how to do the click-for-bigger thing. I can send them if you want them. ;)

Send these pictures for the Pika and I politely request them!

It was fun!

Nope--I'm not a turkey fan. Ham, yes. Turkey, no.

It's been a weird thing recently. I'm usually a fairly perky person! (Well. I've used LJ as a therapy tool occasionally, but I don't usually spill my problems to everyone. I'm a bottler.)

I don't like a lot of them, but I do want at least one and probably two: a Shakespeare quote on my ankle and a claddagh or Shakespeare's signature on my wrist.
Ohhh, don't get a peace sign! They're SO cliche! But it's a nice size and I love wrist tattoos.

YES!! We only have like two more full weeks of school!

*huggles* I don't know what my issue's been lately. *I* might need to go have a fairly serious chat with someone.

I love quotes. And "Our remedies oft in ourselves do lie" has become my favorite. And claddaghs have always been a Celtic thing for "love, loyalty, and friendship." :D

Yeah, but...just think that you'll have it forever. They've just been everywhere and have kind of lost general meaning, you know?
Ooh, I love bats! Check out the one by Edward Gorey--it's really awesome! And the binary's cool--it would be fun to get it to say something just for you. (But you're right--that would hurt!)

I really love them these days, though. Not a TON of them, but...You-know-who has several and it makes him yummier.

That's all you got out of that?

Uh oh. Dollhouse has been canceled, apparently.

Been there, known that! It means a Dr. Horrible sequel will now majorly be in the works. And the episode of Glee in the spring. I saw the men in kilts. The barefoot one looked cute from the back.

It was fun! There was a ton of stuff to see and buy! But I behaved. ;)

Aww, really? At least you have them, though!
