Thanks to Marissa casually mentioning that she bought a chair for her bedroom, I emptied my overstuffed closet and realized that I can sell or give away 3/4 of the contents without missing anything. I now have a giant pile of recycling, an impressive pile of things to sell, a large box of horse magazines to give away (I already have takers, even), ( Read more... )

equine herpes...... rofl

After a few days, it's perfectly acceptable to call them up and give them a lil' jab with a fork-- just so your resume doesn't get forgotten. ^^

What kinda things should you say? "Hi, I dropped off my resume last Wednesday, I was just wondering if you'd gotten a chance to look it over" kind of thing?

I hear you.. but - it's been a week so you should definately call them TODAY and see if they've contacted anyone for interviews yet. Be agressive!! Did you ever hear about how many times I called my work here before I got the job? Like 30.. seriously. You can do it!

LOL. I guess I should have read the comments before replying to her journal entry encouraging her to call them! :) Good advice! ;)

Good luck with the jobs! I have always called back on jobs after giving them a week or so to look over my resume. That way they really know you're interested, you get to find out, and it gives them a little kick in the rear to get the hiring process moving if they are indeed interested. I'd call them! :)
