I've been highly enjoying my oil pastels lately (I did a horse head this morning and the way the colouring turned out - all grey and black tones - was amazing), and I was reading some stuff online this morning about pastel techniques and I kept reading that soft pastels are a lot more blendable and versatile than oil pastels. Some things seriously sneak up on me ... a prime example would be the Mission Horse Club Performance Trophy Show, the show where I'm acting as official photographer. It's 10 days away.
Thankfully I don't have that much preparation to do, but I'm going to do it early just in case.
