Peanut Butter Candy recipe.

*G* I gave this recipe to maniaco and brodeurbunny30 a few weeks ago, and figured I'd share it with the rest of you guys, in case you all wanted to try it.

Okay, take all the measurements with a grain of salt--I never measure, I didn't learn the recipe that way, my grandmother always just mixed it up until the consistency was right. *laughs*

You'll need:

2 cups Powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup milk
waxed paper
rolling pin

Combine powdered sugar in a bowl with the milk and vanilla (start with a small amount of milk, it's easier to add more than to keep adding powdered sugar to counter it.), mix it into a bread-dough type consistency. Once you have a tennis-ballish sized ball (again, might be a little bigger or smaller than that, I really am not positive, based on the not-measuring thing.) of the "dough," lay it on one sheet of waxed paper (approximately 12-15 inches in length), and lay another sheet on top. Roll out so that it makes a rectangle, only about 1/2 inch high. Peel off the top sheet of waxed paper. Spread peanut butter over the surface of the candy (you can add more or less to taste). After that, roll into a swirl, like a jelly roll (using a knife to peel the candy from the edge of the waxed paper helps a TON.)

After you have it in a roll, re-wrap with the waxed paper, and store in the fridge for at least 12 hours--it's absolutely the best at about 36 hours, the flavors really meld together then. Go with small slices--it's really sweet, but SO good.

Enjoy! :)
