its the people who label others who make people out to be posers or scenesters. its lame.. sorry just figured i'd say something because really if you go by what kids call a poser then everyone is.... have you always liked the bands you liked? have you always dressed like that? have you always gone to shows? no you haven't, neither have i, nor has anyone else you ask. its just called growing up and doing new things

never really thought of it that way...but by posers i meant people who try to be something theyre not and they dont even like what theyre trying to be, but they do it anyway JUST to fit in with a certain group of people, not to try new things...they lose their sense of who they actually are and are forced to think by other people that what their group likes is what they like, when really it isnt. although i can see that it is trying new things and growing up, but the kind of people who are always worried about how they are dressed, where they go, how they act, what kind of music they listen to just to impress or fit in with other people besides doing what they really like are posers, bc theyre not doing what they like...if that didnt make any sense...well, i get what you mean tho.

Yes thats true, but thats been going on forever. Even back when Madonna was still a virgin. I just think they're unfortunate and they're trying to find themselves and be liked at the same time. Its just the general animosity towards posers or the like that gets me angry. Yes they may be annoying and even slightly odd but we have to just let them do what they want and they always come around and finally realize that impressing everyone else isn't worth faking who you are. I just think that if society was nicer to people we wouldn't have to have "posers." Or even labels for that matter. Because really a poser is just another label that American teens have stereotyped to death. Sorry this is long it just bugs me with all these labels, even ones people like to be called like "punk" "indie" "emo" all that junk, that means absolutely nothing, but heartache for kids who are a little mixed up in thier priorities.

Hey hooker! Alot of the stuff you said is true, i especially liked the part where you said "you cant depend on one person, but you need to have one person you can always depend on" That makes alot of sence, fo real, i can relate to that ( ... )
