One of my cats was hit by a car today, or so we think. When I got up and I opened the back door, he came staggering in, covered in drool because he couldnt close his mouth, and he had a funny luimp on his side. So we rushed him to the vets, and the vet said his lower jaw is broken, but not too badly so it may not have to be pinned, and he may ( Read more... )

Oh no!! That's awful! I'm so sorry about your cat.

Careless arses. :-(

My cat goes outside regularly, too, and I always worry about her. But I know she would be unhappy if I suddenly decided to keep her inside. I used to live in an apartment that was next to a very busy road, and nothing has happened yet, so I continue to hope that nothing will happen.

At least I know that *I'm* careful. Earlier this year, guess what happened? I was doing a delivery run for a gift shop, and on a busy road I saw a mother duck and her ducklings trailing behind her. It was so adorable, I wished I had a camera.

There was no duck crossing sign. I just saw them ahead of time and just HAD to slow down and come to a stop. And I didn't even get honked at, it was a good moment.

But best wishes to kitty. :( I really wished that this didn't happen.

The poor kitty!!! I really hope that your kitty is ok. How much do you think the vets is going to cost?

Poor thing with a broken jaw.

I saw hunt the hit-and-run person down and tar and feather them to be used as a large animate kitty toy!!!!!
