Ravi Shankar - @ Carnegie Hall as a gig :)) Black Eyed Peas - Eliphfunk as an album (realy had a blast with it while driving through Florida last May) Syriana - as a movie (!!) My name is Red- Orhan Pamuk as a book Kajra Re - as a song :)
p.s. I did read the Namesake- but was not crazy about it, frankly I expected much more..
Really? Everyone else I know that read The Namesake loved it too. I thought her collection of short stories (Interpreter of Maladies) was great as well. I've been meaning to read some Orhan Pamuk - a Turkish friend of mine raves about him.
The Namesake - I founded it boring, the plot was very interesting, but the language and the "footwork" -left to wish for the better..( that is my opinion..)
that nick cave gig in may was amazing ... two hours and ten minutes until dirty three! i am absolutely bouncing off the walls. wheeeeee! my favourite albums of 2005 are practically the same as your list ... two hours and eight minutes now! * bounce! *
