Do you know what I just did? DO you?

I just beat Super Maro Bros, is what I did!

I know this may not sound like a huge achievement. But the thing is that I'm not, y'know... good at video games. This is only the second time I've ever beaten the game. And it may actually be the first time I've ever beaten it without using the warp tube thingies. Oh

Congratulations! I could never beat 8-4 unless I aced the first three levels of world 8 and still had the fire flower. If I got hit or was just regular "Super" Mario, I'd never make it past the hammer brother right before Bowser.

I don't think I've ever played it without the warp pipe. That's really excellent. I did beat Super Mario 3 that way a few times, though - that was a great game (and the fact you could save your progress in Super Mario All Stars made it easier).

I lucked out after about fifty squillion tries and managed to run under the hammer brother and jump over Bowser. And I'm just as thrilled about it as if it had been actual skill instead of blind chance. :)
