Dear Yuletide letter

My second year with Yuletide! Other than the usual angsting about my assignment last year, it was a wonderful experience. My free time is even more limited this year (if that's possible), but I'm still looking forward to the challenge (just a sucker for punishment, I guess!). My requested fandoms haven't changed much, so I'll be borrowing ( Read more... )

I requested something quite similar. *high fives you* Now we've got TWO chances at getting a HH fic we like.

Er, I may have been a little overexcited earlier. It was actually your mention of an original German character for Hogan, because when I was a teenager I had a very elaborate fantasy invoiving one (total Marty Stu). And then you liked Klink too...

*cough*

*sidles away*

There is no such thing as overexcited at Yuletide! I was totally enamored with this show when I was a kid, and I've only recently rediscovered it. I've found a few stories I've liked on ff.net, but nothing that's exactly fit my "dream story", so to speak. I tend to be really, really bad at writing OC's, which is why I haven't attempted to write the story myself yet.

I haven't checked the signup summary recently to see who's offered to write HH, but here's hoping at least one of us gets an HH story!

Last time I checked there was just us two asking, and five people offering. (the stats on my other two requests were 1,1 so I don't know whether I'm more or less likely to get HH). It's all so exciting!!!!!

I'm kind of glad I worked nearly a double shift today, because otherwise I would have been doing endless nervous tweaking on my sign-up and crashed the server!

I think I remember (vaguely) that it was mentioned the "rarer" offered fandoms are matched up first, which would tend to make your 1,1 fandoms more likely, but I may be way off base on that. I'm just glad I'm not the one having to write the codes for a match-up of this size. I'll be stalking my mailbox first thing in the morning, but I'm quite aware it's probably going to take a great deal longer than that for the assignments to go out!

And I adore your icon, BTW. Somebody coined the term "fannish butterfly", and I am SO guilty of that - flit, flit, flit!
