Comment and I will...
a) Tell you why I friended you.

b) Associate you with something -- a song, color, photo, etc.

c) Tell you something I like about you.

d) Tell you a memory I have of you. (This could be fuzzy, ye are warned.)

e) Ask you something I've wanted to know about you.

f) Tell you my favorite userpic from your list.

g) In return, post this on ( Read more... )

a) I friended you cuz I've known you since I started college!
b) I have a habit of associating people and things with colors and music. You are very bright yellow to me, since you usually have a big smile and laugh when you're around! I also associate the song "Got a mind to do right.." with you.
c) I like how you are so open to meeting and talking to just about everybody.
d) I remember when Kate was just born, and you were in armor telling fighting stories while holding her. You were trying to do the fighter hand motions, but had to do it one handed since you had a sleepy baby in the other arm!
e) What's your favorite SCA memory?
f) I like the purple octopus since it looks nifty on my background!

Wow, I have a lot of good SCA memories.

SCA-related would be Judith and I falling in love, which is a long story.

SCA-specific would probably be watching the re-knighting of Duke Sir Talymar. Remind me to tell that story some time.

Two things leap to mind.

Just being a teacher, I see my biggest challenge will be creating engaging lessons and trying my best to get students interested in what I teach.

In the English field, I think the biggest challenge is going to be seeing if I can teach full novels as opposed to short stories and things of that nature which align more closely with the Ohio Proficiency test (should I end up teaching in Ohio). I've heard a few stories about superintendents strongarming teachers to teach more to the test than to teach things that might actually benefit the students.

My dream theater job would be anything involving either Wicked or Lion King. Run crew, light board op, assistant stage managing... I don't particularly care. :-)
