Blast From The Past

I drove to Cincinnati once we landed from Florida to see my folks. Once a week I drive up there to spend time with them anyway, but this week was the post-Nationals lunch-that-stretches-into-dinner trip. My mother has the best sufganiyot in the world ( Read more... )

Just further proof that I outshined you even in high school, sister.

Mhm. Whatever you say, Galinda. I'm not the one whose voice nearly gave out while singing about their roommate.

I was showing appropriate disgust, Elphie. It's called being in character and it wasn't hard, seeing as who I was singing opposite of.

That wasn't disgust, that was someone not doing their breathing exercises.

Sufganiyot is my favorite dish to make.

And you and April sound very good here. I myself have done a lovely tribute to that musical.

Oh, I guess I should introduce myseld. I'm Rachel Berry, I'm the star captain of New Directions. You're Jesse's old coach, right?

It's been awhile since I've had any other versions of sufganiyot but my own and my parents'. You may have to let me try that sometime.

And thank you, I was actually feeling under the weather that day.

Hi, Rachel. I know who you are-Jesse had nothing but adoring, loving words for you when we had coffee up in Orlando. You're his girlfriend partner, correct?

You and Jesse had coffee in Orlando? Oh.

Yes, we have been going steady for a few weeks now, but we have known each other and had feeling for each other for a while now. It's just that now that he's at McKinley, we can actually act on those feelings.

We weren't discussing choir secrets or anything. Jesse's like a son to me, and I knew he wouldn't take the loss well, and that's all it was.

He told me that you're a very driven person. I can see that in your performances, although...can I offer you some advice?

Oh, you and April know each other? That's... interesting.

I have to admit, you two sound great together.

Hello again, Will. :)

Thanks! I have to admit, though, carrying her through some songs got tiring at some point.

Hi there, Shelby :)

Well, I don't know about that. You're both very talented. I'd be interested to see what you and I singing would sound like.

You know, that's not a bad idea.

Actually, I'm interested in seeing what some of your kids and mine singing would sound like too.
