I'm thinking about posting my schedule here, so you could understand why I actually don't have time for LJ.

In few words - I'm learning five languages this year* and I don't study philology/linguistics, but very wonderful special major concerning everything that is somehow related to the culture(s) of Mediterranean area through ages. OK, I'm not ( Read more... )

I write more but in Polish (speshful filter). If you want to be added - give me a sign. Somehow, I wasn't very eager to add just everyone speaking Polish, because I'm prone to incoherent verbose and I was afraid that you all would start to hate me quickly after reading few entries ;)

sounds yummy!! i love languages but i have a strong disabillity to learn them :( your studies really sound interesting regardless the fact that it eats your time like crazy i guess. I don't know much about cultures of mediterranean (wow what a spelling) but i once covered a semester which subject was the colonization of spain by arabs. really interesting period of reign. i guess you'll cover that. if you have a break you always can update your community and share your knowledge. happy studies!!

Thanks :)

I sleep during weekends, because normally I rarely can afford more than 5 hours of sleep.

Yep, I'm learning Spanish and we have a class called 'culture of Islam' next year. I'm considering writing my BA about Arabs in Spain. We'll see.

Sorry for such a late reply :(

Unfortunately this year the only students who can learn Hebrew here are those who are majoring in Hebrew..
University will accept new applicants for this major in 2007/2008 so I have time to decide whether I want to give it a try.
Eventually, I could take Hebrew classes in Jewish foundation I read about, but not this year. It would be too much for me.

Ok, and about languages - Latin, Ancient Greek, French, Italian and Spanish. Romance ones are very simple but my studies aren't even linguistic so I just don't have time!

Wow, Ancient Greek! prezzey December 19 2005, 20:55:08 UTC
No problem. I am often late replying, too *sigh*

I hope you fared well with your exam today! My next one is on Wed.

Just like at our university. This must be Central Europe Syndrome. *sigh*

I hate it when they don't start majors every year. (OK, maybe "hate" is a strong word, let's just say "dislike".)
