I have been hearing different stories, so I thought I would ask if anyone knows for sure.

It is true or not that Matt Smith will be leaving DW after next season?

I have heard yes, no, and not sure.

Has anything been said for certain?

I am from the other side of the pond, so I don't hear alot about the show here.

All the rumours about him leaving seem to have come from a couple of newspapers - but mainly the Sun (which is well known of getting their Doctor Who related articles completely wrong - mainly because they seem to make them up/base them on) back in the summer.

There's been nothing official said by the BBC about it. Although when Karen Gillian was asked about Matt Smith leaving she said that it wasn't true.

Even though I orgionally thought I would like him as the doctor, I do. I was sad when I heard that. It is great to here it is not true.

Not sure if you heard of it but we had a chat show across here called friday night with Jonathon Ross and he said he doesnt know how long he would do it for but he would love the idea of working on the show for the next 7 years if he had to.

Like explained above the newspapers get all sorts wrong and tbh I dont think he would quit in a hurry :/
