Using Photoshop CS.
Involves curves & selective colouring.
PSD file included :)
1. Crop your base, preferably a brightly coloured one.
2. Create a Color Balance layer. Set color levels to -8, +10, 0.
3. Create a Selective Color layer.
Reds: -100, 0, +60, 0
Yellows: +25, 0, +15, 0
Neutrals: -21, -12, -42, +18
Set the layer opacity to 80%.
4. Fill new layer with #092B8C. Set to exclusion, opacity of 60%.
5. Paste your base here. Set to soft light.
6. Create a Hue/Saturation layer. Set saturation to +35.
7. Fill new layer with #FFFFFF. Set to soft light, opacity of 60%.
8. Fill new layer with #E1A57A. Set to soft light, opacity of 100%.
9. Fill new layer with #8AB4D1. Set to soft light, opacity of 100%.
10. Fill new layer with #8AB4D1. Set to color burn, opacity of 100%.
11. Create a Curves layer. In the drop down box, click Blue.
Input 100, Output 83
Input 176, Output 193
(There should be two points.)
12. Create a Brightness/Contrast layer.
Brightness +7
Contrast +10
Done! For all the beautiful lazy people,
here's a .psd file to download. I definitely recommend playing with all the settings to get the right colouring. If you need help/didnt understand anything, please ask.
