Funny, I haven't watched the last two new episodes - I've been busy on Thursday nights lately but I haven't had any real desire to watch even on online. When I start doing that, I know that I am losing interest in the show. If it weren't for your insightful discussions, I would have given up on this show a long time ago.
Yes you see I'm lucky on Thursday night there is a show on the other side to BBT called '101 things to do with partly used paint cans' great show I've taped it if anyone wants to watch it...so do I take the white pill now or the blue one?
Okay so who else finds it incredibly annoying whenever Sheldon calls Amy his girlfriend? Why are they putting so much emphasis on that this episode? Since when did Sheldon start calling Amy his girlfriend so casually? Second, is it just me or is Amy getting more screen time than Penny? Maybe I'm just biased but if I didn't know any better I would think Amy was the lead actress. AND WHY ARE THEY MAKING PENNY INTO AN IGNORANT TACTLESS DUMBASS! I mean come on she can't even use the glue gun?!
Wow season 7 is just going downhill for me, jokes are getting old and boring. I can't believe they used Bob Newhart and Bill Nye to make this filler episode... how disappointing.
The best part for me was seeing the picture of Sheldon and Bill Nye getting smoothies... that was really adorable. And I actually liked the part where Leonard talks about how Sheldon and him both need each other. I saw a glimpse of that nice Leonard I liked in the first season.
This is exactly how I felt about this episode. I cringe when Sheldon introduces her as his girlfriend. Proton said he "got it" when Amy said something quirky about her shoes then later criticizes Sheldon for being annoying. She was also embarrassed by him last episode. The show is not about Sheldon anymore it's all about her feelings.
YES! Seems like the producers are focusing more attention on Amy. I wonder why that is. I used to be a casual viewer until I was introduced to Shenny. Heck, I still think that spanking scene all the Shenny shippers hate was actually pretty funny but this episode was so freaking terrible and made me really dislike Amy. Funny because the more the producers are trying to tear apart Shenny the more I want them together. I know a lot of you guys stopped watching and lost hope altogether, but I REALLY want to see Shenny become a canon couple and I'm going to keep shipping them until it happens!!! UNTIL THE LAST EPISODE OF THE LAST SEASON UGGHH >:0
Does anyone know the last season for TBBT? I heard they're under contract until season 9. Also what are you guys' opinions on the probability of Shenny happening before the last season? I still have some hope but I'm a newb and I'm not certain how likely it will be.
I'll never give up on the idea of Shenny happening although it is not looking good. I think if the ratings took a big hit you would see Shenny put together very quickly. I just think with all the time put into the Lenny and Shamy, TPTB want to see them as end game.Both Ships seems very personal to the writers and the actors seem to be onboard with the current Ships and as long as the ratings are strong, the pressure to put Shenny together is just no there. :(
I agree with you about the time they've put into Lenny & Shamy but you have to remember it is simply a money thing for the writers and TV people now, what the fans think or want went out the window long ago. If the show took a big hit in the ratings nothing and no one would be safe, we would see them break up the pairings and they'd possibly throw in a baby somewhere.
I agree it's about the money. I think just about everything outside a baby would be tried if the ratings took a big hit. They would drop the Lenny, Shamy, and Howardette so fast.

Yeah the thing about the retraction, the writers contradicted themselves in the same scene. It seemed to me that Barry remembered the artic retraction.
I'm not going to read the whole taping report (since I don't like spoilers) but from your comment below, do I sense some break ups or SHENNY? And wow, TBBT is really turning into a relationship show.
