The episode induced a few giggles in me. Penny's "What's that sweater made of? Bees?" was pretty cute.

As for the flower, that was OBVIOUSLY a manifestation of Sheldon's subconscious desire to "squirt" all over Amy's face. Surprised no one got that.

I think that idea has been tossed around elsewhere, but with a degree of serious belief. All I can say, is that he tried to squirt all over Leonard's and Penny's faces FIRST. The dirty bugger...
It's just trousers-down tackle-out Cooper every episode now.

I think I should get a point for using the word "tossed" in referencing a comment euphemistically about ejaculation.

Absolutely you get a point! I'll give you two points if you were trying to be polite and used it in lieu of "chucked". ;)

I think that given the context of the conversation, and given my previous utilisation of the words “bugger” and “tackle”, the question of me being polite is probably moot. Although it COULD be argued that bugger and tackle are some of the politer variations available.
So thank you for the two points! I shall start a miniature collection. Perhaps they’ll breed? Or I could balance something across the two points, I suppose…
Wasn’t there a Monty Python skit about a double-sighted mountaineer who vanished whilst trying to build a bridge between two Mount Everests?

'I think S7 has been one brilliant episode after another up to this one, and this just didn't quite meet the show's own standards. I like the more 'natural' feel of things developing at their own pace. I would say though, for me, we've already had loads of character development for Sheldon and significant progress for Shamy'.

This is not my review by the way. I cannot wait for it to be on over here.

Heehee. I loved that eyebrow thingy Sheldon when he told Penny that she could smell the flower. And that expression she gave him right after. Fireworks! :D

I think little Lenny deserved that sweater prank. I'd like to think of it as a bit of Sheldon's payback for all the sneaky things Leonard's done to him in the past. Well, technically, Sheldon planned it way before the "grand deception" happened, but it definitely works as kind of a little payback now, I guess.

I definitely didn't like how Raj was portrayed as a desperate, lonely man who just happens to screw up every date. Boy, can't he just get a girl and impress her and be the perfect date for once?

I was actually super entertained by this one (I tend to ignore the parts with sheldon and amy together because I am really just done with that whole extended at-everyone's-expense joke and I want Amy to be happy too so it's time to move on for sexual satisfaction, girl).
I think I just liked seeing Leonard in pain and Sheldon not be the butt of all the jokes.

(won't let me edit for some reason)
Though I didn't like the cracks about Penny not being a good waitress. In the earlier seasons she was a good waitress, memorizing orders for the boys and stuff. :/

I enjoyed the A story on this episode too. It was nice to see the role reversal between Sheldon and Leonard, Sheldon being the calm one and Leonard being driven crazy. It was even more brilliant because Sheldon didn't really have to do anything, he just used Leonard's inability to let something go do most of the work for him. Notice when Leonard first found the DVD and told Sheldon not to freak he would take care of it Sheldon just said okay. It was when Leonard kept obsessing and they started talking about how Sheldon sees the world that the sweater prank was initiated- but then Leonard obsessing was very in character. And he couldn't let it go even when everyone else told him he was being an idiot. I liked the "walk a mile in my shoes" aspect of the episode ( ... )

Well for one, I think I'm seeing an end to Shamy. Amy looked just plain unhappy throughout the whole episode and towards the end when she tells Sheldon that he was being diabolical she looked awfully disappointed in him.

I certainly hope so. I loved how the writers contrasted both Penny's and Amy's reaction to Sheldon's novelty squirt flower. Penny gives him a small smile, suggesting she is willing to play along with whatever he has to offer (like in the Panty Piñata episode). Amy just condescendingly tells him the flower smells "sad" and questions why he "wastes his time with cheap, childish pranks." It is sad to think that Sheldon could potentially end up with someone who wants him to fundamentally change who he is. If Amy doesn't like his pranks now, then how is she going to feel about them if she ever marries him? It reminded me of the time machine episode where Penny tells Leonard he should hold on to the things he enjoys because they ultimately help define his character. I don't understand why the Shamy fans would ever support Amy wanting to strip Sheldon of the things he enjoys. Anybody who has ever been in a long term relationship knows you can't change your significant other. More importantly, you should never want to.
