I like to call this move the rise and fall of Alexei Kovalev.

Merci pour tout, Montréal.

Hello Edmonton. It's good to be home.

Hell and thank you.

Is there a reason you're coaching or do they just not like your skills on D?

Because I'm going to were I grew up and my daughters get to be near their family and now there won't be secret camaers hiding in the bushes outside my home? Yeah, how sad.

Anyway, good luck to you. You were fun and a cool teammate. I always had a great time on the ice with you and hope you have a great season.

That's pretty cool you get to go home and play in Edmonton. I wouldn't mind that happening to me one day down the road. They have a lot of rodeos in Edmonton! I miss that shit! We only get about 4 a year in Raleigh...

HELL YES! I totally want to go to that. You should get them cowgirl hats. That would be AWESOME.

Vali already has little cowboy boots like her mom. Our youngest is a little too small for boots yet.
