I believe in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, as the Trinity.
I believe in the seven day creation.
I believe that humans were once the perfect creation of God, but that sin has broken down this perfection into what we see today. I believe that disease was never a part of God's design, but it is an ever more prevalent part of our lives because of the deterioration which comes from centuries of living in a sinful world.
I believe that humans are kidding themselves when they think they can explain/understand the universe completely, but I understand that curiosity and a desire to better ourselves and our understanding is part of human nature.
I believe in Satan, and that his power on this world is incredible. I believe that he holds great influence over everyone (including Christians!) which includes convincing us of "facts" which are not true - or rather, encouraging us to subscribe to a theory which, to our frail human minds, seems accurate.
I believe that creationists who call evolutionists "stupid" need to be given a lesson in grace and humility, and a sharp smack.
I believe organised religion has a lot to answer for, but I also believe that fellowship and encouragement are necessary for the average Christian to make it through life. I believe God doesn't like much of what is done "in His name", nor some of the beliefs held/taught in the name of "Christianity", and that every Christian has a responsibility to examine what they are taught by their leaders and come to their own conclusions, prayerfully.
I believe that choosing the Christian path is not taking an easy option.
I believe that we are nearing the final days of this world and that the battle lines have already been drawn. I believe that science and creation is one of them. I believe that friends will be lost and I hope it doesn't get worse than that, although it won't surprise me if it does.
But most importantly, I believe in grace, salvation and eternal life.
I also believe that my keyboard sucks and that I'm not mentally prepared for a debate about this stuff. Feel free to comment, but please don't come fishing for a fight. I'm not scared of defending my beliefs, I'm just sick and not prepared to get into the nitty gritty. And experience has taught me that most people wanting to debate aren't going into it with an open mind, and are only out to "get the Christians".
