Get thee to a physiotherapisy, missy D:!

Maybe your posture's fucked up or something?

It may be. All these years of slouching at a computer must be doing damage somewhere. I'd imagine it's been worse since being at work and doing nothing but sit here for 8.5 hours a day every day. I never want to use a computer again for anything other than talking to my friends.

That might well be the case then. Seriously, see your doctor and get referred to physio before it gets any worse O_o.

I went to the doctor with something similar when I was about 15. She asked me if I wore a school bag on one shoulder rather than two (and I said no) and she prescribed me a nice big box of ibuprofen.

Since I can just buy the stupid painkillers myself, I might as well save myself the wasted journey to be honest. I think I'd just get told something equally as useful as last time since my doctor is rubbish.

You could have just slept on it ever so slightly funny one night. Backs are stupidly sensitive things and it doesn't take much to make them unhappy.

And go you guys for being almost packed-I'm impressed!

Mine used to twinge occasionally anyway. I was doing the 100m in PE once and it twinged and I fell over. That was fun!

Did I say almost packed? I still have my clothes to do, which means you still can't even see my floor or bed yet :-p My box of junk seems to be growing and will be taking up many more boxes by the time I've finished with it.

I look forward to you moving in. We'll all be unpacked and settled and then you'll roll up with about three million boxes, bags, bits and pieces.

Incidentally, did you ever find that Freeview box you said you'd got but had lost?

Three million?? You're optimistic aren't you?! I was going with at least double that :P It took me 3 trips to clear my room in Stafford last year and that was just a room, not a house so be warned-I come with lots of junk (but hopefully some funky brightly coloured kitchen utensils too :P)

Yes I'm fairly certain I know exactly where the freeview box is. I'd get up and check but that would require moving and this is just not happening right now. Did we decide we didn't need the tv cos there's gonna be one there btw?

Haha we're going to be overrun by Laura-junk! It's a good job you get to see the place before you move in, you can judge how much stuff you can actually fit in there, it's really not a huge flat! Though I don't mind making it cosier, it's a bit sparse at the moment, men are rubbish at the "homely" thing. Yay utensils!

He's happy to leave his tv, though it's not the most high tech thing about, but it'll do if you ask me.

Haha Stafford Tower really wasn't a huge room-you'd be amazed what I can cram in! I will try not to go too mad tho, after all we've only mum's little Ka to get me there now, not dad's bit Audi-could be interesting!

Cool, yeh I don't care about high tech-so long as it works it's good by me :)

It might take a few trips then! Suppose if you can persuade your mum she'd like a day out in Birmingham a couple of times over summer, you can do it in stages.

I presume the tv works - we never saw it on! lol.

Might be a simple thing (and more expense) but, new mattress? I know mine is badly in need of replacing and given I've been sat at the same PC on the same chair for the last year, it's the only thing that has degraded to make my back whinge every now and then.

Have friends with back problems and they said changing the mattress was an absolute godsend.

Gues it depends if you're taking your own bed to the new place or not...

Nah we're moving from a fully furnished place to a fully furnished place. I'd imagine the mattress we have at the moment's first owner was actually a t-rex, and since the new flat is only 2 years old, the mattress must be pretty new as well so that might help.
