[028] [Video/Action; backdated to Monday] HOLY--

Jul 22, 2011 18:49

[Oh, look, it's a gym battle between that odd old man and Ecruteak's Morty. If you stick around to see how this plays out, you'll notice a few things.]

[The first is that Shelly started by sending out his Drifblim. Considering that Moe is usually the cameramon, that might explain why the view of the battlefield is so low today.

The second is that, if he's having any trouble at all fighting the gym leader, he's not showing it. Moe, with his level advantage and Shadow Ball, easily stands up to Morty's Haunter and Misdreavus for long enough to knock them out. It's only when Gengar's own Shadow Ball hits him that he finally goes down.

And then, Shelly calls his Sneasel to the battlefield.

The third thing you might notice is how the two of them seem perfectly capable of communicating through vague commands and meaningful glances. Weasley's Faint Attack appears to catch the Gengar off-guard every time.

Before long, the foe seems exhausted.]

Now - do finish the job, Weasley.

[Ice Punch.]

[KO.]

[Well. Morty's looking pretty stunned.] How is this...

Excuse me.

...?

Not to be rude, but I am in a hurry.

[Okay this guy is kind of creepy--]

I would appreciate it if you cut your usual speech short and granted me my reward.

[Wordlessly, the gym leader hands him the customary TM, HM, and, most importantly, the Fog Badge.

Shelly's done here.]

((OOC: Badge is mod-approved, Shelly should be arriving in Mahogany soon (ohohoho) and, uh, making Weasley look so much like Bec Noir was completely subconscious. ;; ))

business of the serious kind, !ic, !john doe, not creepy at all, the ice is a ~*metaphor*~, foreshadowing?
