I'm sorry. I was selfish. I held you so tightly. I could tell you wanted to break away, but you didn't want to hurt me. I watched you come home late at night with tense shoulders. I knew. I knew...What happened to the love we had. What is love? Is it when you would get a speeding ticket because you wanted to come home to see me? Is it when we just glance at each other and laugh? Is it when you always ask me to tie your tie, even though you could do it better than me? All these questions are running through my head as I watch you sleeping in the bed sheets you bought for me because I loved them so much. Silently, I walked into the room and stood beside you. You were so peaceful when you slept. I smiled as I remember the times when I couldn't fall asleep because I was watching your peaceful sleeping. Softly, I took my left hand and ran it through your hair. Suddenly, I stopped, noticing the ring on my finger. I smiled, remembering the time where you sent me a Sakura branch to me for fifteen days. On the last day, I walked into my apartment and the whole living room had Sakura petals all over. You were standing there with this big smile on your face, holding out the ring. Tears started to flow down my cheeks. I smiled again and leaned in to give you one last kiss. Slowly, I took off the ring, symbolizing our love and set it on the night stand. I took a deep breath and walked out of the room with my luggage. I'm sorry, I'll back off so you can live better.
