Not trying to start drama - but I really have to ask - but did you not say that certain jobs - and I believe fast food was a specific examples - were below you?
Not necessarily BELOW me. Just that I wouldn't want to work them because I'd want something better. I've worked at subway before. I don't really see it as working a fast food place. I don't see restaurants (sit down nice environment) as "fast food places" and I don't see making subs as being "fast food". Subs are not slaving over a big pot of grease to make fries, or serving greasy burgers in a hot muggy environment.
But that's just me.
And Subway is a last resort kinda thing. I would much rather work somewhere that would look good on a resume. Like maybe a camp or historical site or working with other people. I dunno, to each their own I guess. Which is why I am more excited about the Parks Canada job because it's personal interactions.
Ok - you did actually use the phrase 'below me' at one point. I only remember because I was insulted as someone who works their ass off at a fast food restaurant to make ends meet.
I disagree with your classification of 'fast food' - but meh - that's your call.
And I do understand what you mean about Subway being a last resort - the only reason I'm at DQ is because I'm getting hella hours and its not even busy and I make a bit over min wage. Otherwise I'd have looked at similar positions.

I've worked at subway before. I don't really see it as working a fast food place.
