Dad update

Dad and mom went to the doctor. Dad has prostate cancer and it is in its early stages and very slow moving and a very small area. Dad has a consultation with the radiation doctor and a consultation with the doctor that could remove the prostate to see which one he wants to do. Not that any kind of cancer is "the good kind," but prostate is one of the easiest to treat.

The survival rate for localized prostate cancer caught in the early stages is nearing 100 percent with modern technology. It was a lot more serious 20 years ago. Chances are very good that this is going to be a minor bump in the road of his life, all things considered. Good thoughts and whatnot anyway, just in case, but I am betting the docs have it all under control...receptionist snafu's aside.

Definitely much love to your family. Cancer is tough to deal with, but it sounds like your dad's got a more than 50/50 chance at getting rid of it quickly. Good luck to you all.
