Zach loved the feeling of having Shaun inside him - full and complete in a way he’d never experienced before. The way Shaun moved over him. How he gave Zach exactly what he needed even when Zach didn’t know what that was.
Zach wondered what it would be like to be able to give that back to Shaun. To fill him up until Shaun couldn’t tell where he ended and Zach began. To be able to look down into Shaun’s face and see his emotions writ there, and know he’d been the cause.
Zach asked, uncertain, but Shaun simply said, “Yes.”
Zach hated knowing that he’d been the cause of the expression of hurt and uncertainty he saw on Shaun’s face right now. Shaun had finally asked Zach to marry him - he’d even gotten down on one knee. Zach had thought the proposal would make him the happiest man in the world. Instead, at the words he’d longed to hear, Zach had been filled with a fear he thought he’d left behind when he’d created a family with Shaun and Cody

The night before the opening of the exposition, Zach nervously walked around the spacious room, biting his nails. It wasn’t the first exposition where Zach’s work was shown, but Zach felt different about this one, because it contained his most personal work up till now. His latest paintings showed his most personal feelings and fears, the ones he usually kept hidden deep inside and only Shaun saw glimpses of them. So it scared him to put it out in the open for everyone to see. What is people didn’t understand it, or made fun of it? It was exactly conventional what he’d put out there. He sighed and hung his head. Too late to turn back now. A small smile formed on his face when he felt strong arms circling his waist and a firm, warm body pressed against his back

He refused to tell them but if the singing in the shower and the humming during his homework was anything to go by, his class was definitely performing something to do with Singing in the Rain. Shaun and Zach tried desperately to keep it balanced between not asking too many questions and trying to find out as much as possible
