I drove on the freeway tonight-it was my 3rd driving excursion ever. Not only that, but the car I was driving was an itsy bitsy XK8 Jaguar and THE TOP WAS DOWN! I was convinced death was eminent more than once. One of the most frightening experiences of my life: it was dark, fast, scary, and very very very loud.

I'm still shaking.

just dont floor it and you will be fine. i dont know why instructors take students out for lessons on advanced cars. you should really be driving like a carola or something.

lol. The jag is my dad's car. We were driving home from church together and 'flooring it' isn't really my problem. I go too slow :D

ahhhhh cess!! how weird!! today was only MY third driving excursion too...and i went on the freeway for the first time! i know what you're talking about too.. the instructor guy's ALWAYS telling me to go faster lol. i got on the 405 and went over that crazy big overpass to the 118... i thought i was guna DIE, he put me in the fast lane an made me do about 70 once i got over it. eeek! hahaha, once i merged and passed some freakin huge semi i felt alot more comfortable though. hahaha...congrats, an good luck! :P

Aww hun! how scary! I was ready to cry I was soo scared. And all of my driving skills are 'ok' except the looking over the shoulder thing, so merging on the freeway...dear God in Heaven, I was ready to hire a driver for the rest of my life.

I'll never forget the time my instructor took me on the freeway for the second time. We got on the 101 and went all the way to downtown Hollywood and drove around for like two hours. Most fun I've ever had driving. Good to hear that you are safe and intact!

you know i really never got around to the whole, instructor and freeway thing. i just ended up going on it with my dad. wasnt hard. see now im not even sure if i completed all of drivers training. but i have my license and thats all that matters right? because if you cant trust the state of california who can you trust?

i got on the 101 yesterday... then came back on the ventura freeway. at least i think that's what its called. hahaha...i have no clue where i was going.... it was just wayyyyy too crowded. where do all these cars COME from?!

lol i remember my first time on the freeway... it was only like from one exit to another but i swear that was the LONGEST mile and a half i've ever driven lol... i was freaking out sooooo bad... but the funny thing is the SECOND time i drove on the freeway i was perfectly fine... i was driving up to Lancaster and felt perfectly comfortable... my dad however was freaking out... i seriously thought he was going to pass out lol... and now i realize (what with having my license and all) that the freeway is SOOOO much more convenient then surface streets lol the freeway is my freind... well at times ne way ahahahahaha... school monday... c ya then!!!
