It's quite the situation. On the one hand I know that zoos serve important functions like education and preservation of endangered species, but it just makes me sad that it has to be like it is. I've never been to the San Diego Wild Animal Park, but I would certainly love to go some time.

i visited the southwest reasearch in san antonio and went on a tour last yr. some of the primates were in a huge area that resembled a desert. They said it was once filled with trees, but the primates tore them down since they are use to more foliage in the natural jungle environment. It was kind of sad but also very interesting because I have always been interested in animals and especially "monkey" type. I would like to hear/talk to you about any of your ideas on the improvement of life for them in the future.
