"the desperation emanation" also has no shenny but I found it interesting how quickly Sheldon gives his blessing for Leonard to date Amy. So he thinks they would be a good match too and it made me wonder, how would Leonard react to the idea of

Since the first scene of Amy with Penny in S4 and even more now on S5, I've thought that Amy could be a little like Raj, with a hide homosexuality or something like that, even though she is straight (again, I say, just as Raj is so I'm not saying she is going to date Penny or that she is in love with her, she is NO)T, but it's clear how the writers love to play with this topic on the show. Amy seems to take her friendship with Penny too much far away sometimes (and, remember her first line to her: "Are you homosexual?" and then, "Shame. If you were I'd consider the comment more flattering")So, I see this like an extreme ambition that Amy has to get to know well to the friend who Sheldon appreciates the most, as if they both need her in some way in their lives, but maybe Amy with a little crush on her because of that.
