Fencing was today. Not bad, considering I haven't been back long enough to really get used to it again. But ah! I don't get tired any more. Such a wonderful thing, to be able to fence and fence and fence and not have to stop. Had a 15-touch bout first, followed by an indefinite and informal sabre sparring session. Some of my friends fence; I've heard that it's quite expensive, so I haven't attempted it. Heh.

But anyway. Cats are so adorable, aren't they?

Expensive? Not really. You may be able to borrow equipment from a club if you sign up there. For us, it's 45 for one semester and 80 for the year. That's not too bad.

Hm, people I know are paying at least 600. I think that might be including equipment, though...

The equipment is not cheap, but if you pick it up a piece at a time, it's not so bad. A hint: start with a racquetball (or however you spell it). Invaluable for strengthening the hand, and costs a few bucks max.
