Definitely true. Everyone is so perky about being in a higher school. Us upperclassmen get a kick out of watching their hopes and dreams drowned in puddles of reality.

Sorry about the bad news, but they don't get much better in Sophomore year. Junior remains to be seen.

It does sorta get better when you're an upper-classman and president of a club so you can tease the younger kids (and poke them with swords), but yeah, definitely not all it's cracked up to be. :(

Any context. I had a thought that he either fell asleep or got sick, and, of all things, imagined a neck massage (it was absurdly late at night, before you ask). Can't figure out if that's IC or not, since he doesn't seem the sort to fall ill or sleep without meaning to. Hm. Any ideas?
