Career Revelations

I know exactly what I want to be (professionally speaking): An art editor. I want to make a living critiquing art at the artist's request as a sort of cross between a teacher and a critic. Pointing out flaws, giving creative advice, and making judgements are all things I love to do with writing, so why not visual media? They share the same basic ( Read more... )

Ah, merde, indeed. It's most unfortunate to desire a career that doesn't exist, albeit your dream one.

Oh- I gave latin_cat a one-day extension on the J/V challenge fic as she had an unplanned excursion today or something; is that alright with you?

That's fine, but I'd like to discourage it in the future. Volunteers pick their own deadlines; we're not forcing them to turn in fics the day after they pick a prompt. But, yeah, one day for unforseen circumstances is definitely reasonable.

(Besides, what are we going to do to people it they don't finish on time? Revoke their posting rights? Seems sorta counterproductive.

...We're such lame ducks. XD)
