Longboard (skateboard)

I'm in the market for a longboard but don't know jack about the different companies that make these babies. Anyone have any recommendations for the best kind of longboard out there? Experience with Sector Nine or anything like that? Thanks in advance!

longboarddirectory.com is a fairly solid website to look up long board info.
I work at a skate/snow shop and sell mostly sector nines and arbors. The maple/bamboo sector decks anywhere between a 42-48 are pretty decent for cruising.. The maple provides stiffness, but the bamboo absorbs chatter and provides some flexibility.
My vote if you're gonna be using the board for mainly cruising.
