The Eighth Annual Winter (fka Secret Santa) Exchange Rules and Sign-Up

I am so excited to present to you the Eighth Annual Secret Santa Winter Fic Exchange! We've changed the name since we're starting a touch late, but it's the same bucketful of fun :)
Invite your f-list to come play, and let's make this an awesome holiday season!
Sign-ups will run from October 21st through October 28th. Prompts will be emailed to you 3-4 days after sign ups close.
Also, if you can volunteer to pinch hit, please mention that when you sign up! Thanks!
YOU MUST READ THE RULES BEFORE SIGNING UP.
(1) There is a minimum of 1,500 words and there is no maximum limit.
The due date is between December 21st and January 21st.
There will be a mandatory check-in December 7th to discuss your progress and make sure you can complete your recipient's gift in time for posting.
(2) If you know you won't be able to fulfill your assignment or have doubts, notify me right away, so I can look for a pinch hitter. Don't leave your excited and eagerly-waiting gift recipient high and dry!
Note that if you drop-out, you will not be allowed to sign up for the next exchange.
(3) Posting. You can post your story anywhere you choose, but you will need to respond to the master list with four things. 1 - author name, 2- who the story is written for, 3-the title of the story and 4- the url to the story (please do not code the link, just c/p the url and I'll take care of it). I post the master list on the first day of the due date window.
(4) I highly encourage each author have a beta reader. If you do not have one, let me know and I will gladly help out.
(5) Sign-up Requests
Please provide three prompts to feed your author's muse! Prompts can be broad like "water, water everywhere" to specific scenarios. Authors should incorporate at least one of these prompts into their story. This exchange is open to gen, slash or het.
