it's good to know you weren't washed out to sea, but it would be easier to express this if your livejournal posts weren't locked, at least to me (LJ always asks me to demonstrate that i'm over 14). i also appreciate you don't have time for casual chat right now; just expressing concern, is all.

i sent a text message as email at the beginning of the storm - the "from" would have included the numeric string 9083098234 and possibly the alphabetic string VZW, and your spam filter probably ate it :-(

my LJ is set to "adult concepts"; that shouldn't be a problem for you, though. i made my last couple of posts with comments disabled because i don't have enough access to a computer to reply to everyone's expressions of concern. (i'm using Auntie's computer, but only when he doesn't need it himself.)

there is no electricity, no phone service, and no cable internet at my house, of course - all three wires were ripped free of their connections and are dangling from the pole nearby. but my computer at home is okay, because it's upstairs.
